The Miami crape myrtle provides the best of both worlds with its spectacular, exfoliating bark and its beautiful, magenta flowers. A late season bloomer, it is prolific with its flower production and stuns at its peak. The flower power of this tree attracts butterflies and hummingbirds as well as other pollinators. This myrtle grows upright and reaches a mature height of about 20 ft. During the Summer, you can marvel at its dark pink blooms for its approximately 100-days from summer to autumn. Then, when fall arrives, you can marvel some more as its foliage turns autumn orange. Additionally, the Miami Crape Myrtle is drought tolerant, once established, and exhibits a high mildew resistance. It is cold hardy in USDA Zones 7-9.
